Approval of nomination papers filed by Pakistan People’s Party’s (PPP) female candidate Sassui Palijo have been withheld by the Returning Officer on Friday.
Palijo had filed her nomination papers to contest election from PS-85 constituency of Thatta.
Sources said the Election Commission withheld her nomination papers over the objection that she was allegedly involved in misappropriation of some development funds during the rule of the previous government.
