Kabaddi team to play in Sharjah premier league

The Pakistan kabaddi team will take part in the inaugural Kabaddi Premier League being held from April 11 at Sharjah. “The venue of the league is the famous Sharjah cricket stadium and we expect big crowds during the matches of the premier league of Kabaddi which is a new concept in the game,” said Muhammad Sarwar, Secretary, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation here on Tuesday. He said the league features India, Iran, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan and the presence of these teams in the event will become thrilling and competitive and a high brand of kabaddi will be produced. PKF official said the premier league will go a long way in promoting kabaddi in Asia which is gaining fast popularity in the region. “Pak-India contest is always special for gaining the attraction of big gathering as such a match has its own significance because of being the match of nerves,” he asserted.
