Balochistan’s 17 districts continue to face 22 hours of power outages on the third consecutive day on Tuesday.
Electricity supply to several districts, including Quetta, was suspended on March 31 after unidentified men blew up four 220kv towers in Bakhtiyarabad and Chatar areas.
Yesterday, two of the electricity towers in Bakhtiyarabad were restored. However, repair work in Chatar was underway.
According to sources, electricity demand in 17 districts stands at 1,250 megawatt, whereas, only 320MW of power was being supplied.
