More than 450 nomination forms have been submitted for the three National Assembly and six Provincial Assembly seats in Hyderabad.
According to the details obtained from the District Election Commissioner (DEC) Asghar Ali Siyal here on Monday, a total of 122 forms have been submitted for the National Assembly seats.
These included 43 candidates for NA 219, 36 for NA 220 and 43 for NA 221 rspectively.
Similarly, 343 forms have been submitted for the six available Sindh Assembly seats, including 51 for PS 45, 46 for PS 46, 70 for PS 47, 58 for PS 48, 56 for PS 49 and 62 for PS 50.
The DEC said the process of scrutinising the nomination forms had started and would continue till 7th April.
The candidates for these constituencies included former lawmakers MNAs Salahuddin and Tayyab Hussain, MPAs Akram Adil, Suhail Ahmed, Syed Waseem Hussain and Zubair Ahmed Khan of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and MNA Syed Ameer Ali Shah Jamote, MPAs Zahid Bhurgari and Pir Amjad Hussain Shah Jeelani of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
