Music lovers were enthralled by German and Pakistan musicians at a mesmerising concert organised by the embassy of the Republic of Germany in Islamabad on Friday.
A large number of diplomats, national and international dignitaries and journalists attended the concert.
Pakistani sitar maestro Ashraf Sharif Khan, German pianist and composer Christoph Reuter and a German-Pakistani trio featuring Ashraf Khan, Chrstoph Reuter, Thomas Rudiger and Shahbaz Hussain performed at the concert.
After the concert, Ashraf Sharif Khan revealed that he met Christoph Reuter a few years back at a music festival.
“After that we decided to do a project together and we wrote our own music and produced our own albums. Later on we asked a percussionist from Berlin, Thomas Rudiger, to join us. This is how we formed the band, ‘Berlin to Lahore’,” he said.
