6 killed in Peshawar attack

At least six people, including a woman, were killed and 14 other injured when a suicide blast took place in central Peshawar city on Friday, targeting Frontier Constabulary (FC) convoy near a check post.
Officials said a bomber blew himself up near a convoy of FC officials close to a security check post on Fakhr-e-Alam road in Peshawar’s Sadar area which is often been targeted by insurgents battling Pakistan army in tribal agencies bordering Afghanistan.
Vehicle of FC Commandant Majid Marwat was core target of the bomber, SP Cantt Nauman Faisal said
Six people, including a passerby woman, died in the blast.
More than 14 people were injured in the blast which shattered windowpanes of several vehicles. The wounded were rushed to Peshawar’s Lady Reading Hospital by police and rescue teams.
On March 18, five people were killed and scores injured in a militant attack on judicial complex in Peshawar city. The two attackers were killed in army action.
