A married woman, perturbed over her poor financial conditions and protracted illness, committed suicide by setting herself on fire on Thursday.
According to details, 30-year-old Aamira w/o Shoaib, resident of Tajpura, was depressed due to poor financial conditions and her prolonged illness also disappointed her.
On Thursday morning she soaked herself in kerosene oil and set herself on fire. She was rushed to Mayo Hospital in a critical condition where she died.
The body has been handed over to her heirs after a post-mortem. She was a mother of two children.
