The judicial commission constituted for the recovery of the missing persons on Wednesday submitted it report in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, stating it has traced 378 missing persons cases while 633 are pending.
An apex court bench headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry continued the hearing of missing persons’ case.
In report submitted by before the bench, the commission said that 24 cases were completed in Sindh while 100 are still pending.
In Balochistan, 59 cases were concluded while 48 are still remaining.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 125 cases of missing persons were concluded and 279 are still pending.
The commission said it heard 135 cases in Punjab and 148 still pending while in Islamabad, 16 cases were completed and 20 are pending.
The report also stated that in FATA, 12 cases of the missing persons were concluded while 26 are yet to be heard.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 9 cases were completed and 11 are pending.
