CDA’s tree plantation campaign in full swing

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Spring Tree Plantation Campaign was in full swing on Wednesday.

Along with members of the civil society, government and non-governmental organisation (NGOs) also participated in CDA’s Spring Tree Plantation Campaign.

CDA also arranged a tree plantation drive in collaboration with Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU).

CDA’s Environment Wing provided 5000 saplings to Quaid-e-Azam University. The campaign was participated in by the vice chancellor, registrar, faculty members and a large number of students of Quaid-e-Azam University who planted in the premises of the university. CDA Environment Wing Deputy Director General Malik Aulia Khan was also present.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) had targeted to plant 500,000 saplings in different areas of the federal capital, including residential areas, avenues, parks, Margalla Hills National Park and Simly Catchment area.

The authority ensured active participation of civil society, government organisations, non-governmental organisations, schools and colleges in the Spring Tree Plantation Drive – 2013 and provided these institutions with various kinds of saplings for plantation.
