The Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) on Tuesday challenged the appointment of Sindh caretaker chief minister in the Sindh High Court (SHC).
Jam Madad Ali and Nusrat Sahar Abbasi from the PML-F filed a petition at the SHC. They maintained in the petition that the appointment was made following unconstitutional procedure.
They prayed before the court to declare the appointment null and void.
It is important to mention here that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had earlier decided to nominate Justice (r) Zahid Qurban Alvi as Sindh caretaker chief minister. Alvi took his oath as caretaker chief minister last week.
