Lahore Transport Company (LTC) in collaboration with Foton Busco Company will launch 20 new CNG air-conditioned buses on urban route B-54 (EME Housing Society DHA to Railway Station), Pakistan Today learnt on Monday.
LTC Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Khawaja Haider Latif, on the inauguration ceremony of the new bus service at E.M.E Housing Society DHA Lahore, said that the state-of-the-art buses of international standards will run on the 28-km track and will cater to the transportation needs of commuters.
Foton Busco Director Operations Col (r) Rizwan Ameen, EME Project Director Hassan Abbas, EME Chief Operating Officer Omer Pirzada and Faisal Nisar were also present on the occasion.
LTC CEO said that 34 routes had been made functional by LTC, transforming the traditional transport culture into integrated modernised urban transport system.
The LTC CEO is drawn his attention to the problems being faced by the residents of Sandha and Islampura for the stopage of route no. 1 and 3 from Sandha Kalan to Lahore A/P and back and from Islampura to R/S Lahore and back respectively.the LTC CEO is requested to re-start these routes without any furter delays and residents of these areas are facing too much problems as these points are very usefuland busiest areas.
It will benefit all other societies at Lahore Canal.
