PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday said the dream of putting the country on the road to progress could not be realised without progress in Sindh.
Talking to reporters after a meeting the central leader of the PML Likeminded and former Sindh chief minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Nawaz urged all political parties to show unity.
Rahim had called on Nawaz in Raiwind to discuss the future strategy with reference to the upcoming general elections.
Nawaz told reporters that the PML-N would not ignore other parties and would consult them on every issue pertaining to the national interest.
“Depreciation and deprivations of all provinces should be removed without any discrimination,” Nawaz said.
The PML Likeminded chief told reporters that his party would side with Nawaz and not with General (r) Pervez Musharraf.
He praised Nawaz’ policies and national services and said he had discussed prospects of seat adjustment with the PML-N chief.
Rahim said he would visit Sindh despite security concerns, adding that he had requested the caretaker chief minister of Sindh to give him security and the chief minister had obliged.
