Misbah rings alarm bells

Disappointed Pakistan captain Misbah-ul-Haq says his team faces an alarming situation after losing both its test and one-day series to South Africa.

Misbah was booed by a handful of spectators as the team arrived in the eastern city of Lahore early from South Africa on Tuesday morning.

Pakistan won just three of nine matches in South Africa, including a 3-0 test whitewash and a 3-2 ODI series loss. Pakistan’s only other win came in the Twenty20 match when it was led by Mohammad Hafeez.

Misbah says “the situation is alarming for Pakistan, especially the way we played in test matches and it needs to be look into.”

Pakistan’s next international will be at the Champions Trophy in England, where if faces the West Indies, South Africa and India its group.
