PML-Q will surprise everyone by sweeping upcoming elections: Shujaat

The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) is the biggest party in the country and will surprise everyone by sweeping the upcoming elections, PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said on Monday.

He was accompanied by PML-Q Central Information Secretary Mushahid Hussain Syed, as well as party’s provincial leaders Asim Kurd Giloo and Jaffar Khan Mandokhel.

The PML-Q leadership had arrived in Quetta to meet party leaders and workers to finalise the names of the PML-Q candidates for 2013 elections.

Addressing a press conference, the PML-Q president said the party had won maximum number of seats in Balochistan in the last elections, adding that this time too the PML-Q had a strong position in the province and it would again win maximum number of seats in the upcoming polls.

To a query, Shujaat said there was no reality in the claims that the PML-Q had weakened.

He said they had recorded their statements to the commission on the Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa issues.

Addressing the reporters, Mushahid said their visit to Quetta was aimed at discussing the upcoming elections with party leaders, adding that they would also go to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Karachi.

He said the PML-Q was the largest party and would succeed in the forthcoming elections with an overwhelming majority, adding, “We had also entered into seat adjustment in some areas in Balochistan.”
