Pakistan pushed into darkness in last 5 years: Imran

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said Pakistan was pushed into darkness over the last five years.

Addressing a public gathering in his hometown, Khan called upon the people to shun the current system of tyranny. “We need to change ourselves first before changing the country,” he said.

“Who will make those accountable who plundered the nation’s wealth?” he asked.

He said the PTI would wage jihad against the injustices.

He said after coming into power, the PTI would spend public’s money on the people, adding that Rs 40 were being charged as tax for just one litre of petrol.

Khan promised the masses that he would protect their tax money.

The cricketer turned politician said people were unwillingly leaving Pakistan to fulfill their families’ desires.

Khan said he would make a Pakistan where the people would not need to go abroad for employment.

  3. This country has been pushed backward all the years since its birth but specially in the last five years. To bring the country from reverse gear to forward is a toll order for Imran when our corrupt political mafias are bent upon taking revenge from this nation, I don't know for what, in the name of democracy.

  4. We are looking at him how will he keep his promises. We are with him to the better future of the vulnerable people. His commitments are encouraging and he does what he says. I am sure world will help his noble causes once he comes in power. We, all the migrants, wish to come and serve our native country and we are in a position to make contribution towards his agenda and give our valuable suggestions towards good governance in the broken system to get it repaired. Wish to see happy Pakistan and we us all back to our homes.

    1.when benazir g0vt. Was dismissed nd nawaz came into p0wer f0r 2nd time,trade deficit was 17 arab d0llarz,that war reduced to 1 arab $ in 2 nd half yearz nd g0vt was dismissed by musharaf nd when 2008 electi0nsheld that was again 23 arab $.
    2.an agreement t00k place in 2nd g0vt of nawaz between pak g0vt nd american firm acc. To which f0r 1o yearz they will share inc0me at 5o 5o..nd aftr that wh0le will be of pakistan…agre ement was about preserving nd exp0rting fish 0n baluchistan costal areas,pak was n0t having any preservati0n plant at that time.pak is n0w earning 12o arab$ 0nly in fish industry because b4 its c0mpleti0n g0vt was dismissed nd nxt govt st0ped it…if it remained in pr0gres pak w0uld have been earning 200 billi0n d0llar fr0m fish industry only.
    3.pak expend a large am0unt of m0ney still on import of canola and tea…farmz of can0la nd tea were planted in nwfp fr0m which pak would be able to exp0rt tea nd can0la instead of imp0rting it..again govt dismissed many farms were destr0yed,few are still w0rking,u can see dm in nwfp.
    4.reprocessing of dates(khajor) ofbaluchistan were started wd help of saudia,but when musharaf came into p0wer,he st0pped that programe,nd n0w pakistan buy her own dates fr0m saudia at increased rate.
    5.saudia was giving petr0l,0il to pak at a large reduced rate,nd it was st0pped when musharaf came into power.
    6.pak currency was str0nger two times than indian currency,but itsvalue dr0pped by musharaf govt.
    7.programe of exp0rting electricity was in pr0gres but govt dismissed.

  21. I wish IK the best of luck. However it is not ONE mans duty to improve the country. We the people have to change. If he is by himself then he is struggling in vain. Whether you are PTI or not their slogan of "Be the change" is not only catchy but it speaks the truth. We all need to change. Change our surroundings, the people that depend on us, our business practices, how we pay our taxes, how we use (& source) our electricity and so on…

    If Pakistan is to survive it is because we make an effort to make it survive, not some politician (no matter how loyal to the country he may be) making bold statements.

    Pakistan is in a mess because we are a mess, not the other way around.
