Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the deletions made in tenth class syllabus and directed the School Department and Punjab Textbook Board to restore the deleted items in the syllabus immediately.
A Punjab government spokesman said that Shahbaz had also constituted a four-member committee comprising of Board of Revenue senior member, Chief Minister’s Inspection Team chairman, Punjab Education Endowment Fund Chairman Dr Amjad Saqib and Punjab University Islamiat Department head to determine the authorisation level in this regard and submit its report to the chief minister within two days.
