Licences of 7 medical stores suspended over drug law violation

Islamabad Drug Quality Control Board suspended the licences of seven medical stores and forwarded the suspension letters to a drug court, said Islamabad Chief Commissioner Tariq Mehmood Pirzada on Friday at the 36th meeting of the board.
Board Secretary Drug Inspector Sardar Shabir Ahmed presented a total of 11 cases of medical stores involved in violation of drug laws in the board meeting.
The meeting also approved a policy regarding drug storage and decided that in the future, only those chemists with alternative arrangements of electricity would be issued licences.
