Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) central leader, Dr Farooq Sattar has ruled out any possibility of electoral alliance with former president Pervez Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League (APML).
“Though we have enjoyed good relations with Musharraf but still no formula of seat-adjustment has been decided with him,” Sattar said while speaking to the reporters at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday. He however believed that returning to the country was Musharraf’s right.
About the appointment of caretaker prime minister, he said the matter should not go to the Election Commission of Pakistan. He said that for 5 years PPP had made fuss about ‘politics of reconciliation’. He questioned why the PPP do not exercise the same on the matter of caretaker prime minister.
To a question about a report submitted in Supreme Court by IG Sindh Police, he refused accounts of the report, saying that his party would challenge it.
He accused, “The IG is working on anyone else’s agenda. If the 81 target-killers are Urdu-speakers, it doesn’t mean they belong to the MQM.”
