One man was killed and another five were injured when unidentified militants attacked NATO oil containers in two separate incidents in Peshawar and Khyber Agency on Friday.
According to the Hayatabad Police, in Peshawar the unidentified militants attacked an oil container supplying fuel to NATO forces in Afghanistan in which one person was killed and three were injured. The injured and the deceased were taken to Hayatabad hospital where one of the injured was stated to be in critical condition.
Sources said 10 containers were carrying fuel to NATO forces in Afghanistan on Friday when they came under attack.
In the other incidence in Khyber Agency, the assailants attacked a NATO oil container in Wazir Danr area of Jamrud tehsil, injuring the driver and a cleaner, police sources said, adding that the assailants managed to flee soon after.
Police and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the entire area after the attack and started a search operation.
