Awami Muslim League (AML) President Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed said his party had only made seat adjustment with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and reiterated that he would not join PTI.
Talking to a private TV channel, he said that the feudal system should be abolished from the country.
He said that after the elections, the newly elected government would face a bunch of problems which it would have to handle with great expertise.
The former minister said there was an understanding on 10 seats where both the parties would not field their candidates against each other.
Responding to a question regarding contesting elections from Multan, he said, “I would have to contest elections from Rawalpindi but now I have become a son of Pakistan and the feudal landlords of Multan have made a state within a state. I want to eliminate this obsolete system”, he added.
He said his aim was not winning seats.
“AML is a poor party and it does not have money to arrange even a single public meeting. I am thankful to the people who have supported me,” he said.
Replying to another question, he said he had always been a Muslim leaguer and would remain one.
