PML-N President Nawaz Sharif has said that his party would move the country’s courts against what “has been done through collusion in Sindh and Balochistan to rig the polls”.

“Election will not be allowed to be made controversial nor will rigging be allowed. What has been done in Balochistan and Sindh has emanated from collusion. This all is being done to rig the polls. The Election Commission should take notice of it. The PML-N will approach the courts along with other opposition parties against this state of affairs in the two provinces,” he said this while taking to reporters after a consultative meeting of the party on Thursday.

“We have exercised restraint and patience for five years only for the stability of democracy, not for the sake of polls being rigged and elections becoming controversial,” he noted.

He went on to say that assemblies and government were completing their term for the first time without the umbrella of military.

“It makes no difference if it will take three or four days more in installation of caretaker set up,” he said, adding that it would be sheer injustice to compromise on the name of the best person.

To a question on return of former president Pervez Musharraf to Pakistan and his arrest, he said the constitution and the courts were present in the country.
