Government of Pakistan on Thursday demanded a fair investigation into the murders of five Pakistanis in Cape Town, South Africa.
According to statement from the Foreign Office, out of the five Pakistanis, four were from Chakwal and one hailed from Sangla Hill. Efforts were underway to shift their bodies from South Africa to Pakistan, the statement said.
Among the murdered included a father of six children, Shafiq Pappu, three brothers and their cousin.
Shafiq Pappu belonged to Sangla Hill, while the three brothers and their cousin were from Chakwal.
The deceased were running a business of sale and purchase of cars. They had disagreement with the local youth over a monetary deal. As a result, the South African youths attacked the workshop and opened fire at them while they were asleep.
South African police have taken the bodies into custody and a case has been registered.
