Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Thursday said his party would make the government in Sindh and the next chief minister (CM) in the province would be from the MQM.
Addressing party workers in Karachi over telephone‚ Altaf said his party would field candidates in all constituencies across the country.
He also demanded the authorities extend the deadline for submitting election forms by seven days, as candidates were facing difficulty in filling out the new forms.
“The MQM will eliminate the word ‘minority’ from the country,” he added.
Altaf said the MQM believed in politics of ballot, not bullet and hoped that the upcoming election would be held in a free and fair manner.
He said the MQM would not disappoint Nabeel Gabol, who recently left the PPP for the MQM.
Altaf also supported the fresh move by Rangers and police for de-weaponisation of Karachi and called for spreading this campaign to the entire country.
