A three-day International Hazrat Sultan Bahoo Conference organised by Sultan Bahoo Forum in collaboration with the MUSLIM Institute kicked off on Wednesday in Islamabad. The conference would continue up until Thursday and would be moved to Lahore for the third day.
The conference which would be held in eleven sessions would highlight the teachings and thoughts of Hazrat Sultan Haq Bahoo and would advise people against materialism and towards spiritual ascension and contentment. Eminent scholars and literary figures were invited to the conference to share their views, articles and researches on Hazrat Sultan Bahoo.
The topics of the conference covered literary, spiritual, social and moral contributions of Hazrat Sultan Bahoo and their impact and relevance on subsequent periods and on the contemporary world. Five sessions were held in which different scholars and political figures shared their thoughts.
In the first inaugural session, MUSLIM Institute Chairman Sahibzada Sultan Ahmed Ali gave welcome the chief guest, Mushahid Hussain Syed and others including, Dr Munir Ahmed Mughal, Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik and Akram Zaki.
At the second session, ‘Hazrat Sultan Bahoo in our times’, speeches were made by chief guest and former religious affairs minister Syed Hamid Saeed Kazmi , Prof Dr Muhammad Daud Awan, Prof Jalil Aali, Syed Haroon Ali Gilani and Dr Farid-ud-Deen Khan.
At the third session, ‘Global impact of Hadrat Sultan Bahoo’, Senator Raja Zafar ul Haq was the chief guest whereas the fourth session was chaired by Dr Zakir Hussain Rana.
