Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended interim bail of former federal minister Ghulam Sarwar until March 29 in fake degree case and has summoned the lawyers of both the sides for further arguments. Justice Shahid Hamid Dar took up the case for hearing on Thursday.

Counsel for the former federal minister told the court that his client obtained diploma after passing the examination but technical board issued the wrong NOC. A ‘baseless’ FIR was registered against his client on political basis, he argued.

Prosecutor General Punjab Sadaqat Ali Khan told the court the case was registered against Khan for holding fake diploma on the basis of which he won the election.
