Fauzia Kasuri disqualified from PTI elections

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf leader Fauzia Kasuri has been removed from the intra-party elections for having dual nationality. Talking to the newsmen, Fauzia Kasuri said that she has now submitted her statement for leaving dual nationality to the party election commission, adding that she could not submit it before due to her foreign party meetings.

Kasuri, who was the president of PTI’s women’s wing, tweeted that she was still loyal to the party despite being disqualified . Speaking on the issue, Jahengir Tareen also recently tweeted “I condemn Fauzia Kasuri’s disqualification. How can the EC behave so callously with a loyal and hardworking founder member.”

Meanwhile, Javed Hashmi, Umer Sarfraz Cheema and Dr Sania are contesting for the slot of central president while Dr Arif Alvi, Pervez Khattak and Rashid Khan are contesting for the position of party’s central general secretary.
