Fauzia Kasuri disqualified from PTI elections

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf Leader, Fauzia Kasuri has been removed from the intra-party elections for having dual nationality.
Talking to newsmen, Fauzia Kasuri said that she has now submitted her statement for leaving dual nationality to the party election commission, adding that she could not submit it before due to her foreign party meetings.
Kasuri, who was the president of PT’s women’s wing tweeted that she was still loyal to the party despite being disqualified .
Speaking on the issue, Jahengir Tareen also recently tweeted “condemn Fauzia Kasuri’s disqualification. How can the EC behave so callously with a loyal and hard working founder member. Terrible”
Meanwhile, Javed Hashmi, Umer Sarfraz Cheema and Dr Sania are contesting for the slot of central president while Dr Arif Alvi, Pervez Khattak and Rashid Khan are electing for the position of party’s central general secretary.

    • at least she is someone who respects ethics and norms of our society! and this should be acknowledged! not everyone does dirty politics! I think the era of 90's is over!

  5. Proud of Fauzia Kasuri for standing by the EC decision. ECPTI should, however, respect her loyalty and her intention to renounce the foreign nationality and should allow her to contest elections.

    • Please don't do ne name callings, though I hate PML (N) & support PTI but even then…

      If we want to bring Imran Khan sumwhat close to Quaid-e-Azam then we'll hav to stop such things, which Quaid-e-Azam never did…

  10. Fauzia Kasuri is the only famous face in PTI after Imran Khan. Lots of respect for her but PTI is no different, lock the women behind closed doors, especially those who are more famous than the rest of the leadership. I salute Fauzia Kasuri.

  12. stern action by party is example for others who are infested with this and fake degrees, if parties start doing this and filter such members, they will not be embarrassed later!

    Courageous action by Fauzia Kasuri by renouncing her US citizenship in a country where members of parliament first lie and then play delaying games with courts!

  13. for four weeks she has been abroad funds arising for the party so naturally she will take in submitting her election documents. shocking that the leadersghip cannot make an exception in her case and allow her now to submit her documents. without the funds she raised wherte would pti stand today

    • You can leave Dr Arif Alvi alone now. He is no longer PTI Secretary General as earlier this evening he lost to an unknown commodity in the party. Remours are that he is either joining Jamaat-e-Islamic or MQM. Even the UK elected body will now join Jamaat-e-Islamic as they were elected through fixing of the elections by him and the PTI Finance Board at Stoke.

  31. Dual nationality holder is in pockets of PTI and they are pointing fingers on others,This literate groups looks me unaware of this part of constitution
    Article 63-1 (c)of the constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan says, "A person shall be disqualified from being elected or chosen as, and from being, a member of the Majlis-e-Shoora (Parliament), if:- he …… acquires the citizenship of a foreign State"
    So kindly emotional people of PTi Before cursing EC should study this and then point fingers on them.They are following the law which was created as there are serious reservations on dual nationality holders if they show their interests in country's politics.

Hamid Khan of PTI Election Commission, when he fought against Asma Jahangir for Supreme Court Bar Asso presidency elections and lost miserably against her, I think he developed a complex against women. I totally condemn the disqualification of Fauzia Kasuri due to dual nationality. First the party sent her out to bring funds from USA /UK from the 'Dual Nationals' and when she returned only one day was given to her to complete her US citizenship papers. Party should have given her two weeks extention to prepare. It's callous the way EC have treated a founding & loyal member like this.

  40. this is sad – why it took her to disclose her dual nationality. is PTI registration process couldnt find out that she is dual nationality. but i will still prefer PTI on all other robbers. PTI still the best

  43. FA UZI KASURI A VOCAL LEADER OF PTI IS DONE WELL TO TAKE EC DECISION ON MERIT,SHE HAS RESPONDED WELL AND HAS DECIDED TO RENOUNCE DUAL NATIONALITY .THIS PROVES THE CREDIBILITY OF A SINCERE LEADER.
