Surrender illegal arms, if any: Altaf

Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain on Wednesday advised his party workers to surrender illegal weapons, if they possessed any, to the local police stations.
His advice came through a statement issued from MQM’s London Secretariat wherein Altaf welcomed the move announced by the heads of police and Rangers for making Karachi free of illegal arms.
Assuring his full co-operation to the drive in the violence-hit city, the MQM chief also asked his party workers to cooperate with police and Rangers.
The MQM had been against all forms of terrorism, he added. His party, Altaf said, would continue to support any step taken for establishing a durable peace in Karachi for protecting the lives of people
