Lahore High Court (LHC) on Wednesday demanded proof of a permanent residential address for former president General (r) Pervez Musharraf.
According to details, Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh heard the petition seeking a ban on the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) and disqualification of Musharraf from contesting in elections.
The petitioner, in his petition, argued that the general had operated against the constitution and had imprisoned judges. He asked the court to disqualify Musharraf and impose a ban on his political party.
Justice Sheikh directed the petitioner to provide a permanent residential address for Musharraf so that a notice could be served to him.
Subsequently, the court adjourned the hearing for an indefinite period of time.
Musharraf recently announced to end his self-imposed exile and return to the country on March 24 to contest in the upcoming general elections.
