Saudi Ambassador calls on PM

Saudi Ambassador Abdul Aziz Al-Ghadeer called on Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashrafa at the Prime Minister House on Tuesday and discussed matters of mutual interest.

The Prime Minister, while talking to the Saudi Ambassador, said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had close brotherly relations which were deeply rooted in historic and Islamic bonds.

“Both the countries have commonality of views on various issues of regional and global importance,” added the Prime Minister.

He also expressed satisfaction over the strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries.

“These relations would grow even stronger with the passage of time” he said.

He said Khadim Harmain Al Sharfain King Abdullah had a special place in the hearts of the people of Pakistan.

The Prime Minister lauded the personal contributions of King Abdullah for supporting Pakistan, especially providing assistance during the unprecedented natural calamities that had hit the country in the recent past.

The ambassador apprised the Prime Minister about various initiatives undertaken by the Saudi Government for the welfare of the Pakistani people. He said Saudi Arabia would continue to support Pakistan in its endeavors for the development of the country.

The PM asked the ambassador to convey his best regards to King Abdullah. He also mentioned the hospitality extended to him during his two visits to Saudi Arabia.
