Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPPP) leader Syed Khurshid Shah and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Senator Ishaq Dar on Tuesday held a meeting in Islamabad and discussed matters pertaining to the caretaker set up in the Centre and Punjab.
Talking to newsmen after their meeting‚ the PPP and PML-N leader dismissed the impression about any deadlock between the government and the opposition in this regard.
Sources said Shah and Dar discussed the dissolution of Punjab Assembly and names for the slot of caretaker PM and Chief Minister in Punjab.
They hoped that issues will be resolved amicably after PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif returns home from abroad.
The ruling quarters have taken the Opposition into confidence over the holding of general election on May 9, and consultation is underway in this regard, sources said.
