Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri said on Tuesday rulers had protected the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to rig polls.
Addressing a press conference, Dr Qadri said, “We don’t want to become a part of the dynastic system. PAT will stage symbolic sit-ins on the day of polling.”
He made it clear that sit-ins would be staged away from the polling stations to avoid any law and order situation.
The ECP was saved by the government, he said, adding that nomination paper was silent on corruption.
The PAT chief said Pakistan should have 30 provinces and that the chief minister’s slot should be removed. All powers should be transferred to district government, he added.
