Agencies warn of Karachi-like attack in Lahore

Pakistani security agencies have warned of Karachi’s Abbas Town-like bombing in Lahore city of the country’s Punjab province.

A suicide car bombing Karachi’s Abbas Town killed at least 51 persons and injured over 140 others.

DIG Operation Lahore Rai Tahir has said that around 10 colonies of the city have a terror threat, adding that the security has been increased in the areas.

On Monday, terrorists attacked a judicial complex in high security zone of the country’s northern city of Peshawar and killed four people and wounded over 30 others.

To a query regarding the security arrangement after the Peshawar attack, Tahir said that the security of the judicial offices had been increased in the city.

The officers have been directed to bar any suspicious vehicle from entering into the colonies.
