The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday issued an interim order in favour of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) regarding the recent illegal possession of the company’s land in Malir Halt, Karachi.
After hearing the case, the court agreed to the company’s submission and issued directions for inspection of the property. The SHC also directed the Airport police SHO to lodge a first information report (FIR) and strictly proceed according to law and take all steps to implement the court orders.
On Sunday, several armed men illegally entered the PTCL property, removed the company’s security guards and started illegal construction. PTCL lodged a written complaint against the illegal encroachers in the Airport police station, but no action was taken by the authorities concerned.

  1. Courageous step by PTCL. If the land mafia can take on giant companies like PTCL then what about the poor masses. Good going PTCL, we should never give in to such people.

    • Yes, its very true.Against this mafia, serious steps should be taken so that we can cease illegal possessions matter either of any company's property or personal ones.

  2. In Pakistan, now its a routine that even property of larger national organization is not safe by land mafias and parties.Strict actions by PTCL is appreciative which can teach them a lesson and reduce such kind of actions in future.

  3. Government should take steps against these illegal possession mafia which could facilitate our nation without been bounded to attend several court hearings for issue resolving. PTCL has taken a right step towards it.

  4. Most definitely, usually companies dont get into matters of such kind directly. It is a positive step by PTCL not to opt an out of court settlement and instead following the right path and asking the authorities to follow the matter.
