The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Sunday released the final electoral rolls, revealing that over 85 million voters will exercise their right of franchise in the upcoming general elections.
According to ECP voters list, 85,738,789 voters have been registered across the country. These include 48,416,413 male and 37,32,2376 female voters.
In Punjab, the number of voters is 49,005,641‚ Sindh 18,713,573‚ Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 12,311,001‚ Balochistan 3,345,067‚ FATA 1,749,331 and Federal Area 614,176.
Meanwhile, it has been learnt that the Election Commission of Pakistan is likely to allot election symbols to all political parties tomorrow (Tuesday).
The ECP will hold a meeting on Tuesday in this regard and has urged all political parties to send their representatives at the ECP secretariat in Islamabad.
The commission has asked all political parties to file new applications for symbols to be used in the coming polls.
The ECP said any party that did not send its representative would then be allotted a symbol according to the preferences indicated by the party in its application.
