Dengue Surveillance Cell asks citizens to eliminate mosquitoes

Officials of Sindh Dengue Surveillance Cell have urged citizens to eliminate mosquitoes’ breeding spots from their surroundings, which can otherwise cause the outbreak of dengue fever.
Talking to APP on Monday, they said dengue fever positive (virus) continued to persist in the metropolitan thus making it essential that citizens should also contribute towards prevention of such health issues.
“While the government has made adequate arrangements for regular fumigation besides relevant cleanliness, yet cases are being reported that must not be overlooked,” they said. The Dengue Fever Surveillance Cell, managed by provincial health department continued to receive cases of dengue fever from the city.
The officials demanded that both the authorities concerned and the citizens should remain cautious and ensure that the situation should not turn serious.
