Salman believes there was no dengue in 2012

Special Assistant to Punjab Chief Minister on Health Khawaja Salman Rafique o Saturday said that the Punjab government had managed to eradicate dengue completely during 2012 with the cooperation of people, civil society and media and through effective and timely measures.
He said that before start of dengue season in 2013, arrangements for public awareness and precautionary measures had eased the work for caretaker government to protect the people from dengue.
Addressing a solar lamp distribution ceremony, he said that the Punjab had made significant development work in health, education and other departments and indicators of Punjab were much better than other provinces.
He said that still there was a need to do a lot of work and fruits of development could only reach the masses when full attention should be paid to public welfare in all the provinces.
Moreover, Salman said that the cancer of corruption from all the institutions needed to be removed. He alleged that if people voted for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the country would see prosperous times in the future.
He said that training of teachers and guidance played an important role in the character building of the students. He said that aim of distribution of laptops and solar energy lamps was to promote the environment of healthy competition among the male and female students so that they could get top positions by working hard.
