Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) have agreed to seat adjustments for the upcoming general elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The adjustment formula will be finalised by a six-member committee having three members from each party.
After initiating formal negotiations, the two opposition parties in the province expressed willingness to make seat adjustment in the first meeting.
Talking to media personnel following the meeting, PML-N leaders termed the first round of talks as a success. They also hinted at contacting other parties for a similar alliance.
The committee will thrash out a formula on seat adjustments in KP and present its report at a meeting scheduled for Monday (today).
