Joint services mock anti-terror exercise held

In continuation of the joint counter-terrorism exercises, another joint mock anti-terror exercise was held at Shahra-e-Faisal on Saturday.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops from army, navy, Pakistan air force and Rangers participated which were aided by Sindh police, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Fire Brigade and ambulance service.
These exercises are aimed at checking the readiness and joint coordination mechanism devised to thwart any threat posed by the terrorists.
Highly trained army troops of Army Light Commando Battalion, Navy Marines and PAF security personnel showed exceptional agility and swift response to take on the simulated threat while troops from Rangers and Police secured the area. Helicopters were also used to airlift the causalities and hostages in this mock up drill. Fire tenders also assisted in containing the simulated damage.
The exercise was observed by senior military officials.
