The PPP has finalised names of Justice (r) Hamid Mirza and Justice (r) Deedar Shah for the caretaker chief minister in Sindh. According to a private TV channel, the chances of appointment of Deedar Shah were very strong as political parties could reach a consensus on his name.
Justice (r) Shah has served as NAB chairman. Earlier, the MQM proposed five names – Justice (r) Nasir Aslam Zahid, Justice Mehmood Alam Rizvi, Justice (r) Muneeb Ahmad Khan, Ghaus Muhammad and Barrister Habibur Rehman for the CM slot. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional, the National People’s Party and the Pakistan Muslim League Like-Minded also announced their proposed names for the caretaker CM slot.
