Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) young leader Faisal Javed Khan on Friday challenged the PPP Chairman Bilawal Zardari for a live television debate over the issues being faced by the people at large with the party’s Deputy Secretary Information Faisal Javed Khan stating that the new generation of the elites of the country had no comprehension of the problems being faced by the common man and so they could not resolve it.
Addressing a press conference here at PTI Central Secretariat, Faisal, who was flanked by around a dozen young workers of the PTI, said that the politics of dynasties could never face the vigour and vision of the youth on the streets who were better informed on the problems of the general public.
Other young leaders of PTI including Chaudhry Rizwan, Malik Rizwan Ahmad, Tahir Jamil, Ali Awan, Irfan Qamar, Adnan Randhawa, Sajjad Fayaz, Aneela Khwaja, Asma Ehsan, Malaika Raza, Dr Abida Raja, Dia Rehman along with other party leaders.
Criticizing the traditional political parties of the country, Faisal Javed said that on one side, there would be a follower of traditional politics and on other, the PTI youngsters had been given a chance to become a leader on merit-based policy.
He said that the most corrupt regimes of the PPP and the PML-N had come to an end, adding that the youth should now come forward to save the country. He said that the nepotism and corruption by federal and provincial governments has sabotaged the country but now the youth would bring the country out of crisis under the leadership of Imran Khan.
“PTI is going to hold a historic public gathering on March 23rd at Minar-e-Pakistan where 80,000 elected office bearers of the party will participate,” said Faisal, adding that the a movement for ‘New Pakistan’ would also be started on the same day.
He said that many youngsters had also submitted their nomination papers for contesting the elections for Member National Assembly’s and Member Provincial Assembly’s. “PTI is the only party which has brings an end to traditional politics,” he added. The PTI leader said that the public would have to think while casting their votes that what the traditional parties have done for them in past.
He expressed determination that the youth would play their vital role for the welfare of country under the leadership of Imran Khan. Faisal pointed out that the government the corruption, unemployment and terrorism has reached to an alarming level but the so-called democratic government had done nothing to resolve the crisis being faced by the common masses.
