Targeted operation: Rangers discover bomb-making factory in Karachi

The Rangers conducted a targeted operation in Karachi’s north area of Taiser Town on Saturday and claimed to have discovered a local bomb factory.

At least 13 suspects were arrested during the operation which lasted for several hours and all major entry and exit routes remained sealed.

Meanwhile, two people were killed in separate incidents of violence in the economic hub of Pakistan.

Unidentified gunmen killed 20-year-old Shahbaz in the city’s Garden area.

In another incident of shooting, a person named Haji Muhammad Aslam, 45, was killed and his son Umair, 24, injured in Chandni Chowk area of Baldia Town.

  1. Had the law enforcing agencies been doing their job as seriously as they have done in Karachi in the last 4 days the situation would not have gone totally out of control. In any case it is better late than never.

  2. Had the government + security agencies taken the MQM concern seriously that TTP is making Karachi its hub after facing resistance in FATA, situation would have not been that grim as is today.
