CIA arrests five POs

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Islamabad Police on Friday arrested five proclaimed offenders from different areas of the city and busted a gang of dacoits, a police spokesman claimed. The spokesman said that one of the nabbed proclaimed offender Latif-ur-Rehman alias Gul Shad s/o Khaista Khan was arrested by Darya Khan ASI and his team. As many as 34 cases had been registered against Gul Shad, resident of Peshawar, at Bhara Kau police station. Another police team arrested Sameer alias Sani s/o Raja Jameel, resident of Dhok Hasu, who had been at large for long. An FIR had been registered against him at Sabzi Mandi police station under sections 302, 392/411 and 34 of the PPC. On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zulfiqar and ASI Tanseem Ahmed raided the dacoits’ hideout and arrested Nasir, Ameer Zada and Noman Ejaz and seized weapons and daggers from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, the arrested confessed to have committed several robberies in various parts of the capital. A case no 130/13 has been registered against them at Shehzad Town police station.
