On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Punjab home secretary sought the report from City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) on Friday regarding illegal occupation of land in 28 state-run schools, including the Christian Higher Secondary School.
DCO Rawalpindi was directed to prepare transparent report disregarding any pressure from land mafia in order to take effective steps to recover occupied land of the schools at the earliest.
The report is expected to be submitted to the Punjab government within a week.
Sources said that police was also stopped from action against the principal of the Christian school as a case had been registered against him.
