Indian government was reported to have cancelled the Pakistan-India hockey series scheduled to be held next month, Indian media reports said Friday.
Sources said the souring diplomatic ties forced India’s foreign ministry to take this decision.
Pakistan’s hockey team was to tour India in a five match series, the first such tour between the two countries in 7 years. But recent events along the Pak-India border have led to further strain in the relationship between the two countries.
Pakistan and India last played a bilateral hockey series in 2006 – three matches in each country. Pakistan won three and lost one while the remaining two were drawn.
India had earlier suspended all sporting ties with Pakistan after the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai

India should not have fallen for the trap laid out by a bunch of jihadis to once again scale back on the peace process. by taking such dramatic steps, India is merely proving the jihadis right when it should bypass them. whether they like it or not, the security situation in Pakistan has become far far worse than India.

Mukhtar,look,blacking out channels and other steps only means we are closing our eyes to reality,I agree with M Ali Khan,this is what the bad guys want,our government needs to do a better job of protecting us in Pakistan,they simply cannot allow for this to go on,enough is enough,we the people of Pakistan have nothing against the people of India,they bleed the same as us,alot of us may have families in India like they do here.We need peace here and around the world.f the bad guys continue to win,people will continue to die,there is no good in that.Yes,it is time to open our eyes and stop people from killings in the name of religion,who are we to judge,the all mighty is the only one to do that when the time comes,we just need to worry about what we do.

Come on guys…How can you forget "Two nations theory" by our beloved Quaid Jinnah. Indians are not more than snakes, they would sting you any moment. They should just cut all diplomatic ties with them. They think they rule the world but let the Pakistanis come ahead in recent years

In the past couple of years Presidents/Prime Ministers of US, Russia, China, England, France vsited India and signed landmark agreements. On the other hand only Chinese President and US officials visted you….that also to either warn you or do more on terrorism….Osama was found in your backyard….Pakistan is a borderline failed state…a pariaha state and world doesn't know what to do with you naturally violent, lawless, bankrupt people who are also arrogant….
India is not a superpower but it is on the right path with credible institutions and its statute is growing…while Pakistan is a headache and burden on this earth and a threat to world peace..
India did right thing. You are a country with terrorists running your foreign policy. So do not compare Pakistan with India.
