General (r) Pervez Musharraf on Thursday said that if India accused the Pakistan Army for intrusion in Kargil, it should be reminded of the atrocities committed by the Indian forces in East Pakistan and Siachen.

In an interview with NDTV, the former president noted that the spy agencies of both the countries had been at loggerheads since independence.

Responding to a question over a statement made by Colonel Hussain in his book that claimed the intrusion of Pakistani forces inside Indian territory, Musharraf said, “Well, if we are the rogues in Kargil, then you were the rogues in East Pakistan and Siachen.”

Answering another question about Colonel Hussain’s claims, the retired general said that Line of Control (LoC) was not a permanent international boundary and made it clear that India also entered Siachen on the same ground.

When the interviewer insisted on Pervez Musharraf’s spending time with the troops in Kargil, he said that he had been a brave soldier always leading from the front. However, he did not deny the interviewer’s assertions outright.

India had accused Pakistan for intrusion in Kargil back in 1999.

  1. Mushareffji, it is all very well calling your shots from the safety of your self-imposed exile in UK. If you have the guts why not come back to Pakistan and re-enter the politics of the subcontinent. So far we have witnessed only your cowardice.
