Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran International chief Dr Tahirul Qadri is back in Pakistan after a short stay in Canada and believes election per the old system could lead to the disintegration of Pakistan.

Talking to reporters at Lahore airport, Qadri said as long as corrupt rulers remained at the helm of affairs, the scourge of terrorism would continue to thrive in Pakistan.

“A major surgery is required to clear the resident malignance so that a change for the better may come about,” he said.

To a question, Dr Qadri said he would announce his future line of action during a public rally at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi, on March 17.

He said planned arson of Christian homes in Lahore’s Joseph Colony was an atrocious act.
