14 outlaws arrested; narcotics and valuables recovered

Islamabad Police arrested on Monday 14 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered weapons, hashish, liquor and various other valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said. According to details, Islamabad Police Anti Car Lifting Cell Assistant Sub-Inspector Sarfraz Ahmad arrested Usman Khan and recovered a chassis plate and tampering tools from his possession. ASIs Fayyaz Akbar, Muhammad Ashiq and Muhammad Saeed of Sabzi Mandi Police also arrested five alleged robbers, Sher Pawoo, Habib-ur-Rehman, Tayyab, Farooq and Yousaf and recovered three mobile phones, cash, valuables worth Rs 150,000 and two 30-bore pistols from their possession. Sub Inspector Muhammad Abbas from Sihala Police Station arrested Wajid Hussain and recovered 250 grams of hashish from his possession. ASI Amir Sajjid from Bhara Kau police arrested a bootlegger for having seven wine bottles. Sub-Inspector Jehangir and ASI Tanveer Ahmad of Kohsar Police Station arrested three accused, Saqib, Zafran and Bilal and recovered several pistols from them. ASI Umer Hayyat of Nilore Police Station arrested two thieves Warasat and Shahzad and recovered valuables worth Rs 150,000 from their possession. ASI Qasim Zia of Industrial Area Police arrested Sirtaj involved in selling of porn CDs. Cases were been registered against the arrested and further investigation are underway. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq appreciated the overall performance and directed all police officials to be vigilant and patrol in their respective areas to the curb activities of anti-social elements.
