Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah will inaugurate earthquake-proof Civil Hospital in Badin this week.
The hospital, which is being constructed with a cost of Rs460 million on the patron of Aga Khan Hospital, will take six more months for completion. However, the Sindh government was interested to launch it on March 13th or 14th ahead of the completion of its tenure.
The government had planned to construct modern hospitals on the patron of Agha Khan Hospital in all district headquarters of Sindh province. In the first phase, such hospitals have been constructed in four districts, including Badin.
This hospital was being constructed on Karachi Road, three kilometers away from Badin city. It would be a great healthcare facility for the people of this region. The local people would not have to visit Hyderabad and Karachi hospitals as this hospital would provide full fledged healthcare facilities to the general public.
There were 15 blocks of the hospital and two of its blocks have been completely constructed. The hospital would provide treatment for skin, heart, orthopedic, child and several other diseases and would soon be given the status of a teaching hospital.
Sindh Assembly Member and Pakistan People’s Party District Badin President Dr Sikandar Ali Mendhro said that the system of this hospital would be separate from other hospitals and strict monitoring of the hospital would be maintained.
Rs760 million have so far been spent on the hospital which would also provide resident facility to doctors, paramedical and other staff concerned.
