RPPs case: SC admits PM’s request for hearing on 11th

The Supreme Court of Pakistan converted into petition, the letter received from Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, for appointment of an independent commission headed by Shoaib Suddle, in the Rental Power Projects case and scheduled it for hearing on Monday, March 11, 2013. The apex court issued a notice to Ashraf to appear in person or through his counsel. After going through the contents of the letter, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry passed the order that the letter may be registered, subject to all just exceptions, as a civil miscellaneous application.
